Go Team

This weather is phenomenal.  A few weeks ago, I was roasting in the 100 degree heat and now for the last few days it's been a pleasant high 70.  I was able to go for a short 10 minute walk with my mom and my boys this evening and it felt wonderful to be moving.  Around the 10-minute mark, it was beginning to hurt my incision so we turned back.  Will try for a 15 minute walk tomorrow.

We had a leftover dinner tonight.  Homemade chicken soup, local bread, and a big green salad.  I think the soup was even more delicious than last night as the flavors melded together overnight in the refrigerator.  I added slivered almonds and sunflower seeds to my salad tonight for a little change.  I forgot how much I love seeds and nuts in my salad!  I'll be doing that more in the future.

The family is all bathed, in pajamas, and ready to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics!  Go Team USA!
